By using Canada Careers you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are short. If you are posting on behalf of a company you confirm you are authorised to do so.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
2. Job postings
- Postings must describe a genuine, lawful job located in or open to Canada, and must comply with the Canadian Human Rights Act and provincial human rights and employment standards legislation.
- Tagging a posting with a community (Professionals, New Immigrants, Indigenous, Refugees, Youth) signals that the employer welcomes candidates from that community. It does not permit excluding other candidates on prohibited grounds.
- No fees may be charged to candidates, no multi-level-marketing or “pay to work” schemes, and no collection of candidate data outside the application flow.
- We may edit, decline or remove any posting that breaches these rules, without refund.
3. Pricing and billing
Each posting is a subscription of $9.99 CAD per month plus 5% GST ($10.49 total), charged when the posting goes live and again on the same day each month until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; the posting stays live until the end of the paid period, or is removed immediately if you choose so. Charges already made are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice, applying at your next renewal.
4. Job seekers
Searching and applying is free. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and resume. Applications are delivered to the employer, who decides how to respond; Canada Careers does not guarantee interviews, replies or employment.
5. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site, send spam, impersonate others, upload malware, or interfere with the service. Content you submit remains yours; you grant us a licence to display it for the purpose of running the job bank.
6. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Canada Careers is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection legislation in your province.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Questions? Use the contact page. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
