Warehouse Associate

Pinnacle Wholesale Foods Inc., is a Western Canadian owned and operated Food Service Distributor and is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will support daily warehouse operations, including order picking, quality control, order preparation, shipping and general warehouse activities. This position involves working with products stored in dry, cooler, and freezer environments and requires the ability to safely handle physically demanding work throughout the shift.

*Key Responsibilities*

· Accurately pick customer orders from dry, cooler, and freezer storage areas.

· Perform quality checks (QC) to ensure products are accurate, undamaged, and meet company standards.

· Prepare, stage, and organize orders for shipping.

· Move and organize inventory within designated warehouse locations.

· Operate material-handling equipment (MHE), including standing reach trucks and order pickers.

· Ensure products are handled and stored safely and correctly.

· Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Follow all warehouse safety procedures, food safety requirements, and company policies.

· Assist other warehouse associates and Support the Warehouse Manager/ Warehouse Supervisor with daily operational priorities and other assigned tasks.

· Adapt to changing priorities and assist in different areas of the warehouse when business needs require.

· Meet established productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety expectations.

*Qualifications & Requirements*

· Previous warehouse or distribution centre experience is preferred.

· Previous MHE experience is mandatory, particularly with: Standing Reach Truck and Order Picker.

· Other warehouse material-handling equipment (Power walkie).

· Ability to accurately pick and handle products in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

· Ability to work in cooler and freezer environments for extended periods of time.

· Ability to safely lift and handle products weighing approximately 60?75 lbs throughout the shift.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.

· Good communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

· Reliable attendance and punctuality.

· Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.

· Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and warehouse systems.

· Flexibility to work additional hours during periods of increased volume or operational demand.

· Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or leadership team.

*Physical & Work Environment Requirements *

· Regularly lift and move products weighing approximately 60?75 lbs.

· Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.

· Ability to work for extended periods in dry, cooler, and freezer environments.

· Ability to safely perform physically demanding warehouse duties throughout the workday.

· Ability to follow all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety procedures.
